BRIEF BIOGRAPHY
"To get down to the quick of it, respect motivates me - not success."
Hugh Jackman was born in Sydney, New South Waves to Grace McNeil and Christopher John Jackman, being the youngest of five children. His first step into acting was his boarding school's production of My Fair Lady, and from there he would play a couple of roles in future schools that he went to through drama classes and courses. Over time, he grew to realize that he could turn his acting hobby into a full-time career.
The night of his final performance at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, he received a call offering him a role on Correlli, a 10-part drama series. This was not only Jackman's first professional job, but also where he had met his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness. From there, his acting career would go from theatre to television and movies, leading to his stardom today.
